A big thank you to all those who have enrolled in the Donahies Pottery Class.By the end of this course you will have :
- Learnt how to create and finish several beautiful pots using
coil, slab and pinch methods.
- Learnt about surface decoration on clay, mark making, texturing
and applied decoration.
- Glazed your own biscuit fired work and decided on final colours and pattern
For your first and subsequent classes
please bring the following materials which you probably will already have at
home:
- Old shirt or apron
- Heavy square or rectangular piece of linen or cloth to roll clay out on
- Plastic ruler and or set square
- Old paint brush (as in fine art) to apply slip
- Old fork for scoring clay
- Flat wooden spatula (from the kitchen!)
- Sponge / cloth for cleaning your work area
- Towel
- Notepad and pencils for sketches/ designs
